How to Measure for Fit

The Luck of the Irish Rig

ESC ID  1518 /  AUD$9,000

Some rigs are born in one place, live quietly in another, and then somehow end up in Australia looking like they’ve seen the world without actually doing much work.

This one has had a passport with more stamps than jumps.

Started life in the UK, made its way to the USA, then wandered down under to Australia — presumably chasing sunshine, cheaper beer, and a better class of landing area. The owner has now packed their bags and is headed back to the UK, but the rig has decided it’s had enough of the cold, the drizzle, and being judged by people who call thongs “flip-flops.”

So here it stays.

Red and black, tidy as anything, and carrying just enough international mystery to make you wonder whether it’s a parachute system or a witness protection case.

The container is in great condition, presents beautifully, and is ready for someone who wants a proper, well-travelled rig without paying new-rig money and waiting long enough to grow a second beard.

It comes with:

Container. ( MLW 18.5  +2  / 22" laterals)
PD Reserve PR-176
CYPRES C-Mode AAD, manufactured 05/2023
No main canopy included

Main fit range is roughly 170–190, depending on canopy model and pack volume. So if you’ve already got a main in that range, lovely. If not, we can also help keep you jumping with a rental main while you sort yourself out like a responsible adult pretending to make sensible financial choices.

This is one of those rigs that has travelled from the UK to the USA to Australia and somehow still looks like it has spent most of its life avoiding actual work. Bit like a backpacker, but cleaner, more useful, and less likely to borrow your van.

The owner wants to travel back to the UK.

The rig does not.

The luck of the Irish says it should now find a new home, preferably with someone who will jump it, love it, and not make it sit around wondering why it crossed three continents just to hang on a rack in Brisbane.
