This one has been packed away for six years. Untouched. Unloved. Shut in the dark while everybody else went skydiving.
Frankly, it has had enough.
The Aerodyne Icon IX-14 is a 2017 rig and presents very nicely for its age. Better still, it has the Long Yoke (LYHR) — worth knowing if you’re one of those humans with a little more real estate between shoulders and chest.
The harness is marked E-B-E-E, which according to Aerodyne’s current GD0032 sizing chart corresponds approximately to:

E — MLW: Height 180–185 cm
- Waist: 86-95 cm
- Leg Pads: 76–85 cm
Those are a starting point rather than a promise that it’ll fit you — bodies remain annoyingly three-dimensional. If you would like to sendus your measurements we can confirm fit for you.
Inside is a Techno 140 reserve, DOM May 2003, backed up by an m2 Multi, DOM May 2017.
And then there’s the Pilot 150.
Yes, it’s an older canopy — DOM March 2007 — but it has just received a brand-new line set. Fresh lines, freshly inspected and ready for another chapter rather than another six years contemplating the inside of a deployment bag. Total jumps unknown but its in bloody nice condition!
The reserve repack is fresher than a pair of undies straight out of the dryer on a crisp autumn morning.
The Pilot’s classic red, blue and black isn’t exactly trying to sneak past anyone either. It’s gloriously early-2000s Aerodyne and, after six years in captivity, desperately keen to come out and play.
If you’re looking for a 150 step down ready to jump this deserves a closer look.
