How to Measure for Fit

ESC ID 1515  /  AUD$ OFFERS!

Tall, skinny, and absolutely not built for the average fridge-shaped human.

This little Aerodyne Icon has found itself back on the market because the owner has packed up and headed back to the South American mountains — which is fitting, because the main turns sharper than a road climbing into the Andes when you give a toggle a proper tug.

The harness is very much in the tall-and-skinny department. Rough fit guide is torso 53–55cm, around 183–190cm height, skinny build. As always, that is a guide only — call us and we’ll talk through whether it is likely to fit before anyone gets too excited.

The main is a Cobalt 150, DOM February 2003. It is still in trim, with plenty of life left in the lines and canopy fabric. It is not pretending to be a modern floaty student bus — it is a proper little spicy number that wants someone who knows what they are doing.

Recovery arc? Short enough that a leprechaun could probably stand at the end of it and wave you through. The colours also suggest it may have been designed during a St Patrick’s Day fever dream, but honestly, that just adds character.

Container is an Aerodyne Icon I4, DOM 31 October 2005.
Reserve is a Smart 150, DOM 31 October 2005.
AAD is an M2, DOM August 2019, with the usual long service life still ahead of it.

The rig presents well for its age, has a well documented history, and is ready for someone tall, lean, and slightly too sensible to buy brand new when a perfectly good rig with some personality is sitting right here.

Worth noting: the BOC and main risers do need replacing, so factor that into the chat, the offer, and the plan before sending it back to the sky.

Owner is overseas and open to offers.

Call Mee Loft to check fit and details before committing — this one is not for every body, but for the right body it could be a cracking little setup.
